Chaak Tun is located just a few kilometers out of Playa del Carmen and can be reached by car or a taxi (which costs around 250 pesos).
This cenote is perfect for the whole family as you can walk on the long boardwalk through jungle surroundings and swim or snorkel beneath beautiful, centuries-old stalagmites and stalactites. There are two underground cenotes which are filled with fresh crystal clear water.
Open Monday to Friday from 9.00 AM to 5.00 PM and Sundays from 9.00 AM to 3.00 PM. We recommend you to arrive after 1.00 PM when the morning tours are over. There is 500 pesos entry fee (around US$ 30), which includes a guided tour with snorkel gear, swimsuit, life vest, flashlight and a locker with a key.
