At the end of the bay so very private. This was a nice place to just enjoy time with our friends. Akumal is about a 5 minute drive. Can’t really walk there. Akumal Direct was super helpful because driving in you do have to pay attention to the detailed instructions they give. We did that and we had no trouble at all. House was perfectly clean and waiting for us :) We were all couples and liked the privacy of all the bedrooms. We had some great activities planned for almost every day, and spent a few days just enjoying the beach and snorkeling in front of the house. I would say the key to this excellent vacation was just that we really planned. I had really well and I think that paid off for us. Thank you everyone for a great stay!

Clean, updated and modern home right on the beach. Master bedroom and bathroom, dining room and kitchen have spectacular views. Walk right into the beach - snorkel and kayak right from the backyard. Staff was friendly and helpful

This was the most spectacular place we have ever been to. House is magnificent and the property on the oceanfront was like being in paradise. Staff was incredibly attentive, and swimming and kayaking from your own private beach an experience that has to be lived to believe. I cannot say enough about how incredible our stay was. Absolutely outstanding.

We took our family of 8 and were very happy with the location, the house, and the staff. It was very convenient and a beautiful and private location.

Most amazing place! We spent everyday snorkeling or kayaking right out the back door. And when we needed a break we hung out watching the gulf from one of the many options for outside relaxing - on your own personal beach; covered balcony or deck outside your bedroom or living room; the hammock. It was truly magical. I agree with the review that said pictures do not do this place justice

The photos on this listing do not do this home justice. It is absolutely stunning. And the views of the reef are amazing. All of the bedrooms and bathrooms are very good sizes, perfect for three couples or even 2 small families. The hospitality, ground services, cleaning services, and 24 hr security were off the chart. We really enjoyed every part of our stay

We had such a wonderful stay at Casa Chaca. The snorkeling out front was great, Marcia was a wealth of knowledge and the home was beautifully done.

Words honestly cannot express how much we loved Casa Chaca! The house was gorgeous and beautifully maintained. Elena and Jaime paid attention to every detail in keeping the property looking immaculate. Marcia was the most wonderful host in helping us feel at home and arranging transportation to some local sites. The property itself was amazing! My family of 6 stayed there comfortably and had plenty of space to spread out. Two of my daughters LOVED having the freedom of staying in the detached casita. We felt 100% safe staying there with the security gates and the local security guard right next door. The view from the back patio is breathtaking! We spent every evening relaxing on the patio and in the hammock, listening to the sound of the gentle waves. It was wonderful to have the kayaks to explore the bay. I could go on and on about this place and would definitely stay here again. Thank you!

Upon booking our trip to the Yucatan Peninsula I had my heart set on Tulum, and thought I was settling when we booked our stay in Akumal. Boy was I wrong. We had the best time in Akumal and a huge part of the success of our vacation was because of our accommodations at Casa Chaca. The home has all the modern amenities to ensure comfort along with the cultural flair we were looking for. The house is located in a small neighborhood with 24 hour security so we always felt safe. The convenience of the location to Akumal Playa came in very handy for supermarket trips, tours, and dining. There was plenty of room in the house for our family of 5 to spread out. The kids had the casita to escape to if they wanted, and my husband and I were grateful for the privacy of the entire upper floor. We cooked several meals at the house and probably enjoyed that more than eating out.
We love our privacy which is why we choose vacation homes over hotels, so I wasn't sure how I felt about having staff there every day. But Elena and Jaime were absolutely amazing. I was blown away by their attention to detail. I came to look forward to seeing Elena's smiling face every day. She assisted us with laundry when we needed it and was always very respectful. We spent a lot of time in the backyard soaking up those ocean views, kayaking, and snorkeling. Jaime always made sure the backyard was in tip top shape for us to enjoy. Our first night in the house we had the pleasure of Jaime cooking a Welcome Dinner for us. We didn’t know, but dinner meant they took care of set up, service, and clean up - wow! We felt so spoiled! We also have to give a shoutout to Marcia. Having someone nearby that spoke English was such a relief. After meeting her once we felt like we had made a friend that we could rely on for our stay. She gave us invaluable tips and advice that helped us overcome the Spring Break crowds. We had an incident where my son cut his toe at the beach. When we got home Marcia brought over antibiotics to help clean out his cut and the next day we found a first aid kit on our doorstep. These details and acts of thoughtfulness are what we will remember for years to come. Thank you for having us Casa Chaca! We already miss the beautiful sunrises on the terrace.
