Our first time staying at La Iguana condos was an excellent experience and we will certainly be returning! The place was impeccably clean from the pool areas, to the stairs leading up to the condo to the condo itself. Hector runs a tight ship and it shows. He takes great pride in making sure the place is spotless. And he is just the sweetest man! We can’t wait to come back to see him and Ivan again! Our maid service was top notch as well. Everything about this place was excellent! Being able to walk out into the water to snorkel without sargassum was another nice feature. The view from our 3rd floor was second to none and we oogled at it every morning! We will definitely be back to La Iguana condos! Thank you!

We had an amazing time returning after many years! The maintenance and maid staffs were wonderful. The unit had everything we needed and then some. The unit was clean and comfortable and in a great location! The view is otherworldly! We will be back soon!

Excellent host who moved us from another unit they owned at Del Sol Beachfront to La Iguana due to the seaweed at the Del Sol location. True to their word the seaweed was far better at this place than further south along the bay. There was little to no seaweed at the beach in front of La Iguana and a significant amount further south. Highly recommend this location as the water was far cleaner and better for swimming and snorkeling.

Thank you for drinking water provided, would have liked the condo stocked with basic pantry including coffee. Furniture could use a facelift, cushions faded and torn. Bed comfortable, and great to have AC in bedroom. Walkable to lagoon, restaurants, and basic convenience store. Do recommend bike or golf cart or car for those who can't walk 20-30 min each way.

My husband and I spent 9 days at La Iguana for our wedding anniversary, and we could not have been happier with where we chose to stay. La Iguana has the most beautiful panoramic views right from your living window, all you need to stay in and cook, or walk a few minutes to one of the awesome restaurants. It was perfectly quaint, with a beautiful place to lay by the water as well as snorkeling right outside of the condo. The AC in our bedroom worked great and kept us cool at night. Truly no complaints about this place if you are looking for a serene getaway.

Wonderful 1 bedroom condo at north end of Akumal. Best view in town. We loved walking to Yal Ku lagoon and Que Onde restaurant. Quiet and relaxing.

We loved everthing about Akumal. we wished we had had more than 11 days to experience it all!! The maids kept our room spotless and went the extra mile. Hector the manager was friendly and helpful. We loved his whistling!! The only glitch in the whole trip was the king sized stone tablet we slept on. We bought an eggshell foam mattress pad that helped a little. But a hard bed wasn't enough to even dampen our spirits the tiniest bit. The snorkeling, the food, the beaches, the diving was all fantastic. Akumal direct gave us all the info we needed to have the vacation of a lifetime!!! We are coming back!

The microwave was broken, and the toaster oven was missing a knob so it had to be turned on using a knife blade. The in-room safe did not work and the manager promised to send someone to fix it but no one ever showed up. The maintenance staff were painting the exterior in the rain and paint was running everywhere for 3-4 days (stairs, walkways). The slippery step edge leading to condo entrance was not marked so I neever saw the downward step and tripped, pitched forward and injured my knee and elbow in the fall.

This was a beautiful condo but it was strange that it had no outdoor balcony to enjoy that ocean view. The swimming pools were very nicely maintained, however. For the price we were willing to accept these minor issues. I would recommend this condo to a friend, but with some caution.

Lovely grounds. Only thing to consider is distance from town. Either rent a car or a bicycle or expect a long walk to get to center of town. Would stay again.

When the breeze blew in just the right direction it was fine. About 50% of the time however it was stuffy and humid. Other residents said that units on the north end were more breezy. We were never given a key to our lock box, they could'nt find it, and my wedding ring was stolen from our room. My hands swell with the heat and salty food and I had hid it in my case. I found it was missing when I was unpacking at home. I quess it was my fault but no, I probably would'nt recommend La Iguanna.

It's a very nice appartment with a beautiful view in the bay. The staff is very good and the appartment is clean. But There aren't curtains on the windows of the room that overlooks the corridor of the entry ! Moreover, the residence is far walk from the sandy beach which is very inconvenient. There are the beach in front of the residence but there are coral and rocks. The car is therefore necessary.

I loved the little town of Akumal and loved the location of the condo the only thing that was a little rough was that #6 is on the 3rd floor and there are no elevators. I'm goin back this year but I'm renting a unit on the second floor . My husband has a bad back and can't do all those stairs. Best view in town...sunrise and sunsets
