If you know Akumal, then you know that it's a laid back place to relax and live in a bathing suit, tshirt, and flip flops for a getaway. With that in mind this unit is perfect. Right in the middle of the beach so you don't have to walk too far for anything. Rent a golf cart if you don't want to hoof it to "downtown", but even that is a short walk. Meanwhile, what's on Half Moon Bay is a short stroll in either direction. The unit was clean and well stocked if you want to stay in and cook one night. It's got a washer and dryer so pack half of what you need for the week and avoid the checked bag fees. The little convenience store is literally across the street for a beer or milk run and whatever else you might need. It is also just down the street from Yal Ku which is great. You can rent a palapa there for a day and still run home if you want to grab something. The beds were comfy and provide some variety to make it work for different family configurations. The balcony is over the pool and faces the ocean, so you can wake up and stare at the ocean in the morning and keep an eye on your fellow travelers if you run up to take a break during the day. The pool is ample size. There aren't any very large pools in the area, but rest assured that the photos are accurate and not a camera trick you might find elsewhere. Akumal town and Akumal beach are changing over time, but Half Moon Bay is still a nice place to laze away the day. This condo is the best spot to do just that.

Beautiful condo that was well stocked with everything we needed. Fantastic linens and bedding which is so important plus views of the ocean from the master bed - what a way to wake up. Great communication with host and we had a great stay. Great location with easy walking or golf cart ride to restaurants. Small beach area with only a few lounge chairs. We had an excellent time. The views were beautiful. It was also nice that there is a little market across the street, which we frequented! The accommodations were comfortable and we were pleased that there was daily maid service. The area is private and we felt safe. The restaurants in the community were also great. It was a perfect 5 day get away.

Watch the sunrise right from your balcony (also Venus rising at night/early morning). Primary bedroom is right off the balcony too so you are lulled to sleep at night by the soothing sounds of the ocean waves. Modernized condo with 3 nice bedrooms, each with their own full bathroom, was great set up for our family + parent in law - we were able to all stay together and have our own space. There’s also a W/D - you provide soap. The oceanside pool was a must for our family with kids who want to swim and parents who want to be at the beach! Snorkel right off the shore, easy walk to La Buena Vida, La Lunita restaurants or the new coffee stand (open mornings only). Directly across from Midway food market for any incidental needs. Maid service was excellent. Pool cleaned each morning. Highly recommend Yal Ku lagoon for incredible variety of fish and you can arrange with the Akumal Dive Shop to swim with sea turtles. We had an amazing experience vacationing at Nikte Ha in Unit 7. We had a lovely view from the top floor. The space and service was nothing short of spectacular. House keeping came every day to help us keep the unit clean and replace our fresh water. The pool was wonderful and if you're into snorkeling, the beach in front of the condo is a 1 minute walk from the pool. The entire bay is open for hours of a safe, snorkeling experience.

On the food side, the rental is a 10 minute walk to two wonderful restaurants. La Lunita and Buena Vida with more in town.

We loved our experience in Akumal. I did find it very confusing that Nikte and Nikte Ha are different buildings (though they are next door to each other). We thought we were booking a room next to our friends, both on the 3rd floor but we were in different buildings. This would not have been a big deal if they elevators were working, but they weren't. One of our party was trapped in one elevator and had to call for a rescue, and the other elevator stopped working after our first day. We aren't wimps, but carrying luggage up and down 4 flights of stairs is quite difficult. Basically, we loved this property, the pools are nice and the beach is right there! But I wouldn't rent again if they don't maintain the elevator. The concierge was responsive via email, but not able to help us with this issue. I recommend getting a golf cart. The other thing to know is that this unit was cleaned daily and the lady was very nice. Know a little spanish and bring pesos, this is not a place where you can expect people to speak English or take credit cards.

Nikita Ha #7 was a great condo. Very clean and comfortable. Staff did an excellent job. Specifically Susana our made was outstanding. Was nice being across from a small store where essentials could be found. Definitely recommend pre-renting a golf cart or plan on a mile walk to the main center and a dark walk back after dinner. We always felt safe when we did walk.

The unit was beautiful and very clean. It was great to have an elevator. The view was great. The only things I would add is a night stand in the third bedroom(trundle) and a couple of chairs and small table on the balcony of that bedroom.

We are Marriott Vacation Club owners, and this Condo as good or better than any MVC unit. I love the view of the ocean from the master and living area. It was a wonderful experience. Unfortunately, the beach was full of sargassum but it was to be expected because of the season. Thank you Akumal Direct, we had a great stay!

Amazing location. Easily accessible, 24 hour gated security, in a quiet residential strip. Unit was large, spacious, well equipped, and offered all the amenities a family would need. Pool which could be seen from the unit's terraces, front line beach location, a little convenience store just across from the rear of the building, beach towels, bath towels, drinking water, etc. Perfect! A/C thru out the condo, with each room offering the ability to regulate temperature. Beds were high standard and incredibly comfortable. Akumal beach and swimming with the turtles was a stones throw away, as were restaurants offering a variety of cuisine. Travelled with Mrs and 4 kids. All had more than enough space, and three bathrooms made life easier. Hermit crabs could be seen crawling around the pool at night, and the pool was clean and a perfect size for kids to play.

The only down side was the Sargasso seaweed on the beach, but not much can be done about that. The pool was a welcome benefit. We will visit again at a different time of year!

Everything was as it was pictured, beautiful place, very nice area.
Although it was a little disappointing that we did not have the rooftop patio/ Terrace that it indicated in the description of the rental— we had access but it was under construction no furniture no hot tub just empty.
Also one other little thing which was a big thing the hot water—- gettig hot water was like a jigsaw puzzle you had to turn it on to hot turn it off turn it on to hot turn it off turn it on the hot water again for the third time to get hot water but then when you did get hot water it was scolding hot it was never consistent where you could regulate it to just be warm in your shower.
It was very nice that we could just go to the office and get bike rentals right there also there’s a little store right across the street from the residence which was very convenient had a great variety of different things that you could purchase and their price was fair in the aspect if you went into town it was the same cost so that was very nice and very convenient.
As I said above there were a couple hiccups but hiccups happen and those hiccups did not affect and do not affect our opinion of the place which our opinion is loved it loved it loved it. We will definitely be back����������
