Description

The La Bahia condominiums have an outstanding beachfront location in the center of Half Moon Bay, an area known for its uncrowded beach and great snorkeling. From here you're only a short walk from Akumal Bay, its pristine beach and many of the local restaurants and boutiques.

This unit has a spacious open floor plan and draws from traditional mexican design with bright colors and painted tiles. The master bedroom is furnished with a king bed and an ensuite bath. The second bedroom has one twin bed and one double along with its own private bathroom. The kitchen is fully equipped and the dining area will comfortably seat six people with extra seating at the counter bar. The living area has a large and comfortable seating area, a smart TV with Netflix access, and is surrounded by a spectacular view of the caribbean. The private terrace has been fitted with another seating area, making it the perfect place to sip your morning coffee, enjoy a romantic evening, or simply relax and experience the ocean air and sun.

La Bahia #3 is a great value with a spectacular location. The La Bahia condominiums are professionally managed with staff who are attentive and happy to assist you however they can.

KINDLY NOTE: South winds may bring Sargasso Seaweed to some beaches throughout the Caribbean, including the Rivera Maya. While the situation is hard to predict for each specific week and area, we would like you to be aware as there is the potential to impact the beach and water entry.

The Riviera Maya is full of natural beauty, places to explore and opportunities for outdoor activities. We have a great list of activities and adventures completely unaffected by the arrival of sargasso that we would love to share with you. There is so much to see and do in this special place, we know that you will have an amazing and memorable vacation!

nous avons séjourné seulement 2 jours et nous avons adoré. la localisation en bord de mer et la
Vue que donne ce condo est simplement wow.
En plus d’avoir un quartier très agréable pour faire des marches. Cette petite communauté est très charmante et paisible.
Dans un environnement de moins de 15-20 minutes de marche vous avez, café, restaurent, petit coin place centrale de Akumal. C’est dépaysant.
Pour le condo il est d’un look mexicain de bon goût. Très beach house! Des petites améliorations vaudrait la peine mais sincèrement rien de majeur à signaler.
La localisation et la vue de ce condo vaut la peine a 100%!

The place is beautiful, I would definitely recommend it! You can see the sunrise right out of the balcony, the staff is friendly, they clean and replace the drinkable water for you, there is a little store right downstairs that sells most of the essentials you’ll need (e.g. bread, tortillas, ice cream, water shoes, waterproof cases for phones, even beer and tequila), the beach is full of fish and corals. We were there outside the turtle nesting season but we got to see stingrays, stone fish, a whole bunch of other small and large exotic fish, and so many different kinds of corals in the water and on the shore! It’s perfect for snorkelers but for those who prefer regular sand without any corals under your feet (entering and exiting the sea might a bit uncomfortable without the water shoes, especially for little kids), the public beach is just a very short drive away! Also, the lagoon with the clearest water is very close - I highly recommend snorkeling there too. We loved it here!

The place is more beautiful than the picture. It is easy to walk to anywhere we want to go. Bike rental is available. A lot of gears for snorkeling and playing outside. We had a great stay.

Our four-night stay at La bahia was fantastic! The place is incredibly beautiful, with the sound of waves in the background even reaching the bathroom. The balcony offered amazing views, and the neighborhood was peacefully quiet. Akumal, though a 25-30 minute drive from Tulum city, provided good food options for its size. Snorkeling and diving centers were conveniently close, and navigating Akumal on foot or with rented bikes/carts was easy. The only drawback was the presence of mold stains in random spots, likely due to the proximity to the beach. Despite that, it didn't overshadow the many positives of our stay. Overall, it was a delightful experience!

The condo was absolutely perfect. What a location! The food in the area is unbelievable. We rented bikes. We rented a golf cart. We loved the beach. Everything was perfect. The location of the beach is the best in the area. The condo is immaculate. You can’t go wrong with this place. The concierge was very helpful. All the people in the area and locals are very nice. Cute place with plenty of space to hang out with the open kitchen to the dining and living room, as well as a big cozy balcony with great views of the ocean. Wish there was a pool because there was quite a bit of seaweed happening during the time we were there, but this is obviously not a host issue. Overall a nice place, AC was working great which is not always the case at other places I've stayed, and very close to some great cenotes, including one that just down the road which is a big lagoon cenote with tons of fish and sealife to explore. And great communication with the booking agency, which I'm often hesitant about and yet they were great and responsive.

The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The condo was absolutely wonderful. The owners thought of everything to make it very comfortable with all the amenities one would need for staying there and doing some cooking (even thought I didn't cook there). Very comfortable bed, ceiling fans, ACs units... Very well decorated and just overall a very comfortable and relaxing place to stay. My friends who were staying in neighboring-nearby condos thought mine was the best. Great location as well. Friends and I rented bikes and enjoyed the ride south over to the dive shop and restaurants. The onsite property managers (Alex and other guy) were very helpful when needed. Amazing place right on the water! Very comfortable, cute, beautiful views, and lots of attention to detail! It has everything you need and is pretty spacious for a group of 5 as well. There are some great restaurants within walking distance and the beach is very quiet and peaceful with great snorkeling. Can’t wait to come back!

This condo has everything you need for cooking and a good time. There is not one thing missing from this kitchen. The snorkeling is amazing. They have a basket provided with masks and snorkel you can use. Just walk out to the beach and jump in. Beautiful coral reef with plenty of fish. We loved having coffee on the patio. We rode the bikes to dinner in town and enjoyed the nearby beaches. I recommend riding bikes across the bridge to the local side of town for some good authentic Mexican food. At the end of the Main Street is the Monkey Sanctuary.
We plan to return!

It’s a nice place, the view from the balcony is beautiful, we enjoyed our 2 nights there, we didn’t know somebody was going to clean after one night, it took us by surprise but it’s fine I guess… the only thing is that there were some red ants and I think they bit me, or maybe the mosquitoes I don’t know haha but other than that, it’s well equipped.

I would highly recommend this Condo in Akumal. It had a true Mexican vibe and was decorated beautifully. The kitchen was very well equipped and the beds were comfy. Two bathrooms were a plus. Unfortunately, the seaweed moved in a month early but that did not take away from the view and our walks on the beach. Restaurants are close enough to walk and a small grocery was practically across the street. Our concierge was very helpful and actually found us a taxi for 5am when the taxi that we had paid for at the airport did not show up. Do not buy a roundtrip from the airport. Lesson learned. The one thing I would recommend if you do not have a car is to rent a golf cart. They are very handy. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home.

I have been to Akumal, including Half Moon Bay, many times. This was my first stay at this property. It was clean, well appointed, secure, had excellent service from the office and housekeeping staff, and is on one of the nicest sections of beach on Half Moon Bay. When we were leaving for another city, my son buried his special stuffed animal in the sofa cushions and we didn't realize it when doing a final sweep. A few hours later I called the property manager and he had the housekeeping staff locate it and set it aside at the office for me. When we came back through Akumal several days later, it was waiting for us at the office. I cannot thank them enough.

Absolutely LOVED staying at the Bahía condo!! The huge windows and screens to let the fresh ocean air were so lovely and hearing the ocean waves was so calming. The condo was a lot bigger and nicer than even the pictures showed. The nearby restaurant La Lunita had some of the BEST seafood I’ve had anywhere. You won’t be disappointed. Tip: It is in the second floor so try to not take a top heavy suitcase like I did.

This is our second time staying at La Bahia. Wonderful experience. This particular apartment is, according to me, the best in La Bahia because of its forward position to the sea. Balcony is just as good as the beach - so close. Very peaceful. The management was helpful and very responsive. The apartment was clean and functional. Check in and check out were uneventful. TWalk 5 minute along the beach to Buena Vida of La Lunita restaurants. If you have a car, drive across the bridge to Akumal Pueblo for local food.

We felt right at home at this place. It was so nice! The beds were comfy and we had everything we could possibly need. However, sargasso was very bad and had begun to smell. The management company actually moved us to another home. Once we got to the new place, we actually missed this place! We had only been there a day and went through withdrawal. Akumal is such a neat little village and everyone is so nice! Great food, fun, and sun!

I was down last week for 7 days to purchase a new condo and this is my 2nd time staying in the La Bahia condos. Great location, amazing staff. I've been going to Half Moon Bay and Akumal for 20 years and it's simply the best place on the continent. Great place for families, as safe as any small town in the US. Amazing restaurants.

I cannot say enough good things about this place! From check in to check out! Everyone was super attentive. We had an issue with the electricity and they were right on top of it! The hosts were very responsive! :) I would definitely come back and stay! Housekeeping was there and came every other day which was perfect for my mother and myself!

The condo was clean, comfortable, with lovely location and beach access. Towels were great. Sadly the sargassum was usually massed in front of property and had a large berm on the beach. We simply walked north along the beach to find clear access for snorkeling. Overall a delightful experience

Friends and I rented bikes and enjoyed the ride south over to the dive shop and restaurants. The onsite property managers (Alex and other guy) were very helpful when needed. I would highly recommend La Bahia #3 to all my friends.

It was located right on the beach,snorkeling just outside our door. Four nearby restaurants close enough to walk to. Condo fully equipped, comfortable bed, great ocean view, well kept grounds, friendly and attentive managers!

The location is perfect in the middle of Acumal. Quiet, no crowds, had the beach pretty much for ourselves and beautiful views from the balcony.
walking distance from la Vita Buena restaurant. Snorkeling directly from the front. It is a rocky sea floor and beach shoes are needed. We found a sandy path about 100 yards from La Bahia.
Santa Cruz Cenote is awesome.
The Maya Taco restaurant in Acumal pueblo, delicious food.

Our 2 adult daughters and us had an amazing time at La Bahia. The kitchen was well stocked, unit clean and detail to fun. The staff on site were helpful with all of our needs. The only downfall was the seagassam had moved in the day we arrived. Not the problem of the unit

Everything works in the condo. It’s cute and bright. Love the tiles in the bathroom. Made me smile when I went in. Having a patio with chairs out there is a nice way to view the water. The reason I suggest not coming in July, is the sea weed is so bad. There is no swimming and I’ll come all day and the seaweed is mounted several feet high. It begins to smell after days and days of decomposing in the sun. I feel terrible for the locals because not only do they live with it for the entire season, but it’s bound to affect tourism.
One huge asset with this condo is having the guys downstairs at the front desk. A lot of Airbnb rentals don’t have this. They’re helpful,and got a couple items taken care of very quickly. They can answer all your questions too. There are more than a few awesome cenotes in the area to go to in addition to some fantastic restaurants.

Akumal is one of our favorite Mexican locales. We travel to the Riviera Maya frequently and have stayed up and down the coast. Akumal is a charming community not yet overtaken by overdevelopment and modernization so if you are looking for a more 'original' place to visit, come to Akumal. This was our second stay at LaBahia #3. The new ownership has made many wonderful improvements and updates this second time around. Unit 3 is spacious with breathtaking views from the deck. It is lovely to hear the waves lap (or crash) on the shore and you can hear them anywhere in the unit. We loved the daily maid service included in the rental fee so the place was always tidy and clean, and the management company staff, located on site, were all exceedingly helpful no matter what the question or need. With only 8 units in the building it was easy to feel right at home. It is located about mid-point of Half Moon Bay so the location could not be better. From LaBahia you can walk to several restaurants nearby and even into town to take in more of the local flavor. We'll be back.

LaBahia # 3 is in a complex of just 8 condos. This unit had the Caribbean/Mexican vibe that we were looking for. It was beautifully decorated and fully furnished. The beds were comfy and the kitchen had all the necessities including spices. The 180 degree view was perfect and we enjoyed the balcony. Although the seaweed moved in earlier than expected we still were able to walk on the beach. Our concierge was very helpful, even getting us a last minute taxi to the airport. I would recommend renting a golf cart if you do not have a car. Even w/o the walk to restaurants was doable. I definitely recommend La Bahia Condos in Akumal.
