Description

Centrally located in Akumal between Akumal beach and Half Moon bay beach Nicte-Ha Mayan for "Water Lily" by Akumal Direct Reservations features 3 ocean and pool view bedrooms. The sunken living area creates a spacious and airy feeling. There is a full kitchen and dining area. This welcoming home offers family-friendly amenities.

- The large master bedroom has a king-size bed, pillow-top mattress, and private bath.
- The second bedroom is furnished with a queen bed and a private bath.
- The two children's sleeping alcoves are furnished with bunk beds (designed for children or small adults) and are connected to the two
upstairs bedrooms.
- A guest bedroom is also located downstairs and is furnished with 2 single beds or 1 King bed. Each bedroom features a private bath and
balcony with an ocean view.

*The bedrooms and living room are air conditioned

Take an afternoon siesta under the poolside palapa in the hammock or kickback on the rooftop observatory for a margarita and unbelievable sunset.

Wireless Internet, Smart TV with Netflix, DVD, Stereo. Daily maid service except for Sunday, purified water, beach towels, and nighttime security provided.

Two families with children stayed and had a blast! The house was large with beautiful views from multiple balconies. Mari the housekeeper was amazing as was Jose the house manager. We had two nights of fantastic meals prepared by Antonio and Carlos our chefs (the Veracruz fish was to die for). Short walks to restaurants and the beach. The pool was a great size - just wished it was warmer (it is not heated and pretty chilly) but we still made do and had a lot of fun. One of our favorite spots was the palapa with the hammocks. One of our favorite days was headed to the nearby lagoon for snorkeling and swimming.

I’ve stayed in Akumal multiple times at hotels and wanted to try going vacation home rental for our family. We LOVED spending time at the pool here. The rooms are spacious and the daily cleaning service was a definite bonus. The beach chairs and coolers were a great addition. I would recommend to put curtains in the windows in the upstairs bedroom that face the road and driveway. You can see clearly in there at night! 24 hr security was great and Jose the handyman was lovely! We plan to be back !

My wife and I decided on this house because I stayed at the neighboring house (Casa del Mar) which is owned by the same person 5 years ago and had a great experience. I was not surprised that our stay at Nicte-Ha was amazing because of prior experience. Location - The house is far enough away from Akumal beach to create a sense of calm, but close enough to easily walk for drinks at Lol-Ha or La Buena Vida for happy hour. We spent half day visiting Tulum (~45min south) but otherwise spent our entire time in Akumal. This house could be used as a great home base to travel throughout the area, but we decided on a more relaxing vacation (plus the house/pool is so nice you don't really want to leave). Cleanliness - Jose and Maria do an excellent job taking care of the property every day both inside and out. Amenities - The kitchen was fully stocked and we made breakfast every day before venturing out. The house had everything you could want for a beach vacation (beach chairs, coolers, beach towels, etc.). We spent many hours everyday soaking in the sun by the pool and back patio area. The house was very spacious (we were only two people) but could easily accommodate a large family or multiple families. Security / Safety - We felt very safe the entire time (evening security on premise until sunrise). Akumal in general felt safe and we were comfortable walking 10 minutes back from dinner after a few drinks. The actual town of Akumal (across the bridge) felt safe as well and we ate a few lunches there. Attentiveness - We are pretty low maintenance travelers, but the property manager stopped by to see how everything was going. If there are any issues I am confident they would respond quickly. Jose is also around the property everyday and is great if you need anything. Negatives - There were no issues we had throughout our stay. The pool was a little chilly (as expected this time of year) but was very refreshing after baking in the sun. It is a tropical location so expect some small ants and other bugs (hardly noticeable and Maria cleans the place everyday). Overall - 9/10. I would certainly stay here again and would highly recommend it for anyone looking for a great spot in Akumal.

We enjoyed our say very much. This was our third trip to Akumal. Casa Nicte Ha was the perfect place for us. Nicely located in Akumal, close to the beaches, diving, and cenotes. The house is nicely laid out. We had 10 in our party and we all found it very comfortable. Angel our manager, the guards, and Jose who washed our cars were very friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend this place if you’re thinking about the Yucatan for a group vacation.

This house was so beautiful! There was plenty of room for everyone to sleep and live comfortably together for a week. All of the windows open up as sliders, allowing the breeze from the ocean to come right through the house and providing the most gorgeous view of the ocean, right in our backyard. A big thank you to the housekeeping staff, property security and grounds keeper. Everyone was very accommodating and even helped us to pick some fresh coconuts from a tree in our yard!

We loved Nicte-Ha! This is a great ocean-front house in a charming community, with restaurants, nearby beach access and lots of amenities. We traveled with two adults and two teen-aged children, who each got their own rooms. We made a lot of use of the pool. It's a nice benefit to have the housekeeper clean up every day and the gardener to work on the pool and grounds. In addition, the house comes with night-time security, which feels more like an added benefit than a necessity. We never felt unsafe. Pro tips: If you have a car, there's a beautiful, free public beach about six kilometers south of the house. You get there by accessing an unmarked public access road near a police station south of Bahia Principe. The road comes out to a small parking area, and then a white sand beach literally between two resorts. We used the snorkeling gear from the house and saw a ton of fish. La Buena Vida is a great beachside restaurant within walking distance of the house. Pueblo Akumal has some charming spots. We ate at Freedom Garden and loved it. If you're coming from Cancun, stop at a grocery store in Playa del Carmen on your way through. Akumal has several small markets but no grocery stores. The closest once you get there is in Tulum, which is about 15 minutes away. The Aki is okay and the Super Chedraui has everything

My family and another shared this space for seven nights in early April 2019. We do a lot of rentals for vacation in various places, and I think this was the best experience we have had with a place. It was clean, easy to get in and out of, the staff (both of them, every day) were amazing, the pool was cleaned daily and was amazing, the kitchen was well appointed, the bedrooms were generous. All in all this was perfect, would highly recommend to anyone!

This was an amazing vacation! This beautiful home is located in a lovely, safe community that provides everything you need for your vacation. There is plenty to do in Akumal, but it is very close to many other fun attractions too, including the ruins at Tulum and lots of cenotes. The snorkeling right off the beach at Half Moon Bay and Akumal Bay, both within easy walking distance, is breathtaking! We saw rays, sea turtles, beautiful coral, and countless fish. The house itself is gorgeous, with a well maintained pool and beautiful grounds. Everything we needed was there, and the staff helped with any questions that we had. Be sure to check out La Buena Vida restaurant which is a quick walk up the street. The food is great, and the atmosphere is superb! We hope to visit again someday!

We had the best time in Akumal and Nicte Ha was the perfect home base for all of our activities!!
Angel, Mari and Jose were wonderful! The house was neat as a pin, the grounds were perfect and Angel checked in to see how things were going. We couldn't have been more pleased with the staff. It was wonderful having the pool at the end of the long day in the sun as well night swimming for the kids. Everyone really enjoyed hanging out at this beautiful pool. The kitchen is fully stocked with all the basic necessities (except food) you will want for nothing. The bedrooms have air conditioning. The beds are very comfortable. There are safes in each of the bedrooms. The 2 bedrooms upstairs have twin bunks in each room. The kids loved these! What the other reviews don't include is the most amazing bar just down the street called La Buena Vida. You should not miss this on your trip the food is amazing! They have a pool, it is right on Half Moon Bay and is maybe a 3 min walk from the house. So you can do some snorkeling, get some lunch and a beer before heading home.

I travel the world for work, but I go to villa nicte ha to relax and recharge.
The house has a calming relaxing feel, beautiful sunsets from the rooftop deck, the palapa with twin hammocks looks out onto the Gulf of Mexico, Walk to Yalku, an amazing lagoon to snorkel, walk to Akumal beach and snorkel with turtles.
Villa Nicte Ha is a quick drive to Tulum, Playa Del Carmen, lots of cenotes and quiet beaches.
If you take your family, there are lots of day parks, Xel-Ha, Xplor...
Mari who takes care of the house and Jose who take care of the grounds are great.
Of course Marcia at Akumal Direct is incredible.

Where to begin? From the interior decor of this house to the refreshing pool and privacy offered... Nicte Ha was a delight. This has a classic Mexican hacienda feel to it -- wooden tables, earthy tones, painted tiles. I just loved the vibe here. Well-equipped, strong wifi throughout the house, even cable. The pool was amazing, big enough for an entire family to swim at once. Loved the rooftop of Nicte Ha, too -- a perfect place to stargaze, and I saw several shooting stars. Great location, walking distance to Akumal Bay and several restaurants. Loved this house!

We stayed in Mexico for 2 weeks at Easter 2016 and our second week was at Nicte Ha. What an amazing week! The villa was perfect and the sea views outstanding. The villa is situated in a perfect spot for the amazing Akumal beaches and also the lovely restaurants along the Akumal stretch. We swam with the turtles every single day which was just fantastic. We also visited various cenotes and Mayan sites.
The staff at the villa and those arranging the stay were superb. I would definitely be more than happy to return to this villa and amazing country!

Nicte-Ha is the most perfect getaway villa. It has a perfect location halfway between Turtle Bay and Half Moon Bay for water activities and dining. The villa is complete in every way. You will want for nothing! The pool was amazing and the rooftop terrace was great for viewing sunsets.

I absolutely love staying at this villa when visiting Akumal. Everything you could possibly need is at your fingertips. The kitchen is stocked full of every dish, tupperwear, pot, pan you could need. The pool is cleaned daily. My only complaint is that I couldn't stay a month instead of just a week!

This was our second stay at Casa Nicte Ha this year. We spent our Christmas holiday and it was awesome as usual. A big gracias to the special staff: Mari, Jose and Santos. We had chef Carlos come in one evening to prepare bbq ribs for dinner and WOW. Angel was great to communicate with We’d love to return!

We had a fantastic stay at Nicte Ha last week. We had two families: 4 adults and 3 teenagers, and had plenty of room to have our much needed space. The house was super comfortable and just like the description and photos show. Impeccably clean, with everything that you might need. Maria, Jose and Santos (overnight security) were wonderful; Santos is Jose's brother, and a wealth of information on the area. The location of the house is super convenient for walking around Akumal (5 minute walk to beaches, dive shop, turtles, great restaurants & souvenir shops) and a short drive in either direction to Playa del Carmen or Tulum. Nearby natural lagoon Yal-ku had fantastic snorkeling, also within walking distance. We had the best ceviche we've ever had at a local taqueria in town, across Route 307 (the non-touristy part of town), called "Chucky's". The place is always busy with locals, who take out buckets of fresh ceviche every day. Their tacos were really good as well, especially the carnitas. The guacamole at LolHa in Akumal Bay beach was also really good; also at LolHa we had the absolute best drink we had all week: fresh pineapple daiquiri. We will need to try it at home. Finally, we loved the ambiance at La Buena Vida in Half Moon bay (also within a 5 minute walk), and their whole fried fish was excellent.

The only minor suggestion we'd have is to add some blinds or dark curtain options to the upstairs bedrooms, as in the early summer days, the sun comes in through the shite curtains and wakes you up at 7am (besides making those rooms quite hot, and needing heavier use of the AC). The view is absolutely stunning, but adding some blinds or dark shades to the windows might help keep them cooler and darker in the early morning.

Thanks to the Akumal Direct Team and house maintenance staff for helping make our stay at Nicte Ha so great! We'd love to come back and would definitely recommend it!

This was our second time in Akumal and we loved our stay at Nicte-Ha. The location was great: oceanfront, private, yet still close to town & within walking distance of restaurants. The staff was amazing: Angel the property manager was very responsive & helpful, Mari did a wonderful job cleaning & Jose kept the pool & outdoor area pristine & comfortable. We will definitely return!

We had an amazing time! The house is well stocked, walkable to everything and phenomenal having the pool on the ocean side of the home. The privacy we had will make us return to this home everytime we come back to Akumal. Having the daily cleaning service and the groundskeeper on site made it feel like your own resort.

This is an amazing house with a beautiful pool and views of the water from three balconies and a tower with a 360 degree view. Saw Agouti’s and Iguanas in addition to sunrises and sunset. Air conditioning for night and all open doors and windows for daily sea breeze. Mari keeps the house spotless and Jose the grounds keeper even polished our car windows! He cut open fresh coconut for us as well!! Awesome restaurants within walking distance along the cute brick road.

We had a wonderful time at this house. Our kids loved the pool. The hammocks were great. Ocean view was awesome. Quick walk to restaurants. We had a blast.

The cute small town of Akumal is amazing and I will definitely be back! AND the LogoGringo experience from booking to the staff was also so amazing! Then Nicte-Ha, wow, it was perfect and so comfortable. Great location and very private!

Wonderful house, very spacious and comfortable, ocean view, 24 hour security, supermarkets around. Nearby beach to snorkel, we can see turtles, stingrays, coral, I would love to go again, just notice that in this summer season there is a lot of sargassum in almost all of Cancun

This house was amazing! We could not have enjoyed this house more!

We have rented many homes throughout our travels and this one has the best pool ever! It is beautiful and so well cared for.

The kitchen was a little small, but still functional and everything worked just fine.

We love leaving the windows/doors open and listening to the waves, especially at night. The screens did a great job of keeping moisture out of the house.

Only thing that would be helpful is to add something to the patio outside the dining room door to make that tile less slick. It gets very slippery when it is damp (which is most of the time from the ocean spray). We were careful and had no issues.

We would 100% rent this home again if we returned to the Akumal area.

We had an amazing time! Marisol was our housekeeper and she did a fantastic job. The house was clean, comfy and very welcoming. The landscape was gorgeous. On our first day there the property manager stopped by to introduce himself. One evening we left some shoes and towels outside and security brought them to our door that same night. They were very friendly and helpful.

Great house, lots of space for all your family. The little details were attended to, such as drinking water jugs in the bathrooms, kitchen well stocked including some basics. There were even some masks, snorkels and water toys. We would definitely stay there again. The layout of the house is a bit unusual but it was excellent for private spaces for all. I especially liked doing yoga daily on the crow’s nest patio. Great views of both ocean and jungle. Sweet!

Loved the house. Perfect for 6 of us. Each bedroom had its own bathroom.Nice to have daily maid service as there is no dishwasher. Lots or privacy because houses next to us were vacant. The pool was lovely but a bit cold.Gorgeous views!

Our favorite home away from home on the Riviera Maya. Perfect for our 2 kids, ages 2 and 4. 2 big master suites (for 2 families and 2 kids) and a downstairs bedroom for mother-in-law.

This is our second visit to Villa Nicte Ha. The property looks directly on the ocean and the panoramic views and sounds of pounding surf from the master bedroom, living room and pool deck are magnificent. The property is archtecturally unusual and was designed by someone the I.M. Pei school to maximize light and air while preserving privacy. The pool and deck are large and right on the ocean offering a unique setting. The property is kept in excellent condition through daily maid service and the efforts of the property groundskeeper. Mari, the housekeeper, made us an excellent dinner on our last night in Akumal. The property is a short drive or walk from central Akumal where we enjoyed snorkelling in the Bay (giant sea turtles, large spotted stingray, several smaller stingrays, boxfish, an enormous barracuda, some coral mounts and numerous reef fish just a few feet off the beach) as well as casual meals at Turtle Bay (highly recommended for breakfast, lunch or dinner). Just down the road is the Yal Kul lagoon. Snorkelling there feels like snorkelling in a giant aquarium full of colorful reef fish. Not far from Akumal are other interesting beaches (Tankah and Tulum), the Mayan ruins at Tulum and Coba, a number of interesting cenotes, and the fascinating Sian Kaan Biosphere Park. Highly recommended.

I've been to Akumal many times, but this was my first stay at Nicta-Ha. My family came from all over the US and we rented both Nicta-Ha and Casa Del Mar - it was a perfect arrangement. We were close, yet separate. The location is walking distance to town/beaches/restaurants so everyone could get around and we didn't need multiple cars. The villa was large and gave us together space and alone space. It was nicely furnished and well cared for. I liked the backyard with the gorgeous pool overlooking the rocky coast and Ocean - made for quiet sunbathing and interesting excursions over the rocks.

Our trip to Akumal was one of our best vacations ever and returning to this house every day was a return to paradise. Being able to sit under the palapa and enjoy the tropical breezes while watching the surf roll in was my favorite part of our week. The description is accurate and the house only improves when you get see it for yourself. Loved the artistic touches and simplicity of design. Staff was excellent, hard working, accomodating and the delicious Yucatan meal prepared by the cook was wonderful. Our bedroom air-conditioner was not functioning and the crew was in before the end of the day with a new one. The property owner, provided quick responses to any of our e-mail questions while on the trip (bringing a laptop is the best way to communicate with the wireless connection available on site). Loved snorkeling in Akumal Bay, Yal-Ku Lagoon, Muyil Adventure tour with Pastor through Sian Ka'an Community Tours, Aktun Chen Cave, Tulum Ruins, town and beach, evening shopping and dinner at Yaxche in Playa del Carmen. Enjoyed the short 8-minute walk to Akumal or Half Moon Bay. Turtle Bay Cafe in Akumal was consistently delicious for every meal. Sam's Club and the Supermarket in Playa del Carmen were great for groceries -- terrific fresh fruits and veggies at the supermarket there (watermelon and papaya were the best!). El Pueblito in Akumal has the best deal on ATM withdrawls. If you must go into Cancun, watch your driving, we were stopped by the Polizia almost immediately on arrival.

We were a family of 5, Mom and Dad and Two teenage girls and one 12 year old girl. Words do not express what a wonderful time we had at Nicte Ha. The house is absolutely incredible, clean, comfortable and very roomy. The staff could not have been better. We enjoyed the pool and the short walk to the beach. Went snorkeling with the turtles, absolutely amazing. THe people in Akumal are wonderful!!! I have already recommended the area to many folks and the home. We wish we were there right now. There are so many other things to do within short driving distances, such as Tulum area, Coba ruins, Hiddenworlds (cenote snorkeling). We did it all....we also drove to Merida and Chichen Itza. Nicte Ha is so relaxing and just a wonderful vacation spot. I must say that it was probably our best vacation ever. The O'Brien's Bob, Annette, Caitlin, Colleen and Debbie. Gracias! Gracias!

this was my fifth stay at nicte ha in akumal. it gets better every year. can't wait to come next year. I go to sleep at night thinking of the surf pounding on the shore and the moon lighting a path along the ocean.

We just returned from a wonderful, relaxing stay at Villa Nicte Ha and it was all that we expected and more! Home was well kept, and staff was great! TV had Netflix for evenings at home. Kitchen was small, but it had everything we needed - the rest of the house was laid out so that there were great, large community spaces, as well as private spaces for reading, etc. This large house is well spaced for everyone's privacy if they want it. We would definitely consider another stay here!
