Description

Seven Seas #3, main level, pool side unit with full ocean view. Seven Seas Condominiums is a small condominium complex located in the quiet beach community of South Akumal, just two and half miles south of Akumal proper.

Guests of Seven Seas enjoy a large beachside swimming pool with chaise lounges for relaxing in the sun. Each unit has a private patio area and is just a few steps from the sandy beach and water's edge.

Seven Seas #3 is full two bedroom condominium with fully equipped kitchen, dining area with seating for six and living area. From the living area access the pool side patio. The unit faces the ocean and has full bright views of the gardens and sea. Guests also enjoy ocean views from both bedrooms and access to the poolside patios.

The master bedroom is spacious. Furnished with king bed, private sitting area, writing desk with ocean view, en suite bath and air conditioning. The guest bedroom is furnished with two single beds which can be made to one king to accommodate couples or families. This bedroom also enjoys an ocean view and has private bath and is air conditioned. There is also a queen size inflatable air bed available for US$25/night to accomodate a 5th guest.

Another great feature at Seven Seas 3 is that it has ramp access all the way from the car parking area into the condo, for those who are looking for ease of mobility in and out of the unit.

A great choice for quiet comfortable accommodations in a lovely setting. AC in bedrooms only.

Seven Seas is a gorgeous place with an amazing location, nested in a clean PRIVATE and beautiful strip of beach. The property has everything you would expect for a fantastic getaway... It is super clean, the a/c is really good, strong Wi-Fi, hot showers, well equipped kitchen, cool pool and it is right on the beach they also provide Kayaks to have fun on the water and comfy beach lounge chairs to sun bathe. The staff was amazing... Mr. Miguel is really nice super attentive and caring, he will make sure you stay is top notch. Thank you Mr. Miguel for all your help. It is also worth mentioning that there is a nice restaurant about 10 min. walk on the beach were you can find a variety of dishes at a reasonable price. Seven Seas exceeded my expectations and I will for sure go back in the near future. Thank you.

Perfect apartment, you can not ask for more, ground floor, 4 meters from the pool and 8 meters from a private mini beach. Perfect location, sea in front of incredible coral for snorkeling to the reef, perfect location to go to Akumal (Akumal beach or Town) and perfect location halfway to Playa del Carmen and Tulum. Personal home of a family that looks lovely. Best of all: Miguel, the guard of the condominium, a fantastic man, a very good person, attentive, pleasant, funny, polite and charming, the best of the experience. Super house, super plan, really.

Crystal clear water a few feet from our door! Serene tropical setting. We listened to to ocean at night, snorkeled Went out in kayaks provided by Seven Seas. Everyone there very friendly and helpful . Close to many attractions like swimming with sea turtles, monkey sanctuary , Mayan ruins and cenotes . I highly recommend Seven Seas and will keep it in my dreams.

The property was nice with clean bedrooms and located in a great location on the beach. There are kayaks for use and a nice clean pool area which our kids enjoyed. Miguel and Francisco are very attentive and friendly. The neighborhood is very safe with 24/7 gated entry. The Akumal beach proper is about a 25-30min walk along the shore. The only downsides are minor, and justified by the reasonable price: kitchen, living area and bathrooms were a little dingy, although not dirty, and could benefit from a little refresh. Bedrooms have nice hardwood and have ample closet space. All and all a pleasant stay in a nice place and good location.

We are in the unit now, and unfortunately we have to leave the day after tomorrow. We absolutely love it here. The condo and the grounds are clean and well maintained, and the onsite staff is delightful. We like that we're close to town but not so close that we have to deal with lots of people. We usually rent a house, but this time we decided to save some money and rent a condo instead; and we are very happy with that decision. We were a little nervous that there would be a lot of noisy people around, but it is absolutely quiet here. The pool is great for our kids, and the snorkeling right out the back door is fun for the whole family.

A washer/dryer in the unit would be a great upgrade, but we knew there wasn't going to be one here so I can't say I'm disappointed about that.

I would highly recommend this condo.

We had an amazing time at Seven Seas #3. The location was perfect, my son counted, it was 8 steps to the pool and not much farther to the beach!! The most amazing thing we witnessed were turtles hatching on the beach right in front of the condo, definitely a memorable moment. Miguel, Francisco and Lety are great people and do a great job. It was very easy to find and navigate with our rented car around South Akumal. We felt very very safe and never once had any issues. Make sure to have dinner at La Buena Vida and hunt the hermit crabs at night on the grass, kinda fun. Highly recommend!!! The reason for the 4 stars is because ALL the linens need to be replaced, I am certain they were clean but everything was stained and it was a bit of an uncomfortable feeling getting into stained bed sheets or washing dishes with stained dish clothes, that could be a real upgrade. Thank you!!

We stayed in Seven seas condos #3 on New Year's Eve with our three young children. The apartment is very spacious, well furnished and equipped and the location is excellent. The beach is beautiful and it is just in front of the house. You can have breakfast in one of the two terraces overlooking the beach and Akumal Bay while the children play on the beach. The garden and the facilities and very well taken care of, and Miguel is a very nice and helpful person. There are lots of things to do around. It is truly a great choice.

Seven Seas is our favorite place to stay and #3 only adds to the enjoyment. The condo is nicely appointed and so comfortable! The staff at Seven Seas is delightful. Miguel cooked two meals for us and he and his girlfriend joined us one night for dinner. The meals were amazing! He was always available when we had questions and went out of his way to help us. Everyone takes such pride in the complex and it really shows!
The location is perfect. Having the quiet and never crowded beach is such a plus. The snorkeling is amazing and just a few steps out the door.
Akumal is just a 5 minute drive away or a 30 minute walk up the beach.
We have tried most of the restaurants in the village and across the highway in the Pueblo. They are all different and good...give them a try.
I can't say enough about Seven Seas (#3). It is such a perfect place to escape to. We're already planning our next trip!

I almost do not want to write this review. I truly do not want the secret to get out. We stayed at the Seven Seas #3 in March for 4 nights. As soon as my husband and I walked in the door, we felt we had found what we had been looking for in a beach vacation. This unit is on the end of the small condo complex and only a few feet from the pool and the beach. The master bedroom is simply gorgeous. Yes, the bed is a bit hard, but this is pretty normal for vacation rentals and being able to see the water from said bed erases any harshness. The kitchen is very well appointed. The bathroom in the master bath, especially the shower is great. We did not find water pressure, as mentioned in a previous review, to be an issue at all. Also, as a previous reviewer stated, yes the management does ask that paper is not flushed. This is pretty standard for islands and places with older plumbing or where water is precious. It was not an issue for us at all, as the condo is cleaned every day except Sunday, which is just another added bonus of this location. While the inside is perfect, the outside is even better. There is a wooden table and chair set right out the sliding glass doors on the patio outside the master bedroom. Another table and chair set is outside the living space glass doors. Comfy chairs surround the pool and more are down on the beach. While there, we were able to meet and chat with the fun owners of two of the other condos. 

We went to Akumal for snorkeling and while it was very windy a few days, we still got in some good snorkeling out in front of the condo, at the main Akumal Bay area with the turtles and further out away from the crowds, and Yalku-Ha. We ate dinner at El Ultima Maya, La Lunita, Lol-ha and our favorite – our condo. Miguel made us dinner on our final night and all I can say is “wow.” He is an amazing cook and we are already planning on going back if only for his fish stew. And guacamole. And fish tacos. It was a magical night out on the patio, looking out at the moon reflecting on the water. We had breakfast every morning at Loncheria Akumalito – their chilaquiles are the best! 

Will we be back to Akumal? Yes. Will we be back to the Seven Seas? Oh most definitely!

There is no better place to stay in the whole Rivera Maya if you are looking for an exclusive and relaxing holidays. The apartment has everything you need and the complex of just 6 units gives you the privacy you look after for a family holidays. The bay itself is a natural wonde, with the reefs that protects the whole bay and full of marine life to enjoy unlimited snorkeling experience.

We have visited Yucatan mexico many times since the 80's and have always liked Akumal especially now when most of this province has been turned into HUGE resorts. This had been the nicest vacation rental we have stayed in. Largest 2BR 2 bath by far. Lovely furnishings and decor and just steps from pool and beach. Very quiet and peaceful yet just a short drive from great restaurants in Akumal Nord. Staff very friendly and helpful. Two thumbs up!

Visited the newly opened Tulum Airport. Looks awesome and will be a welcome alternative for visiting this area.

The pool, ocean and kayak were always available. The people working there were very friendly and were there everyday but Sunday. Unlimited snorkling at the reef just of the beach.

Perfect! My mom and dad came to Akumal for first time. My wife and I have enjoyed it for (15) years. Dad has trouble with knees so this place was absolutely ideal. No steps. Ocean front. And pool side. It was beautifullly decorated in a Mexican traditional style. (They loved it!!!! You’ll need transportation to get anywhere but the service was stellar. Miguel lived up to the reputation from previous reviews. Thank you for allowing Us to share this magnificent place. Another feather for Akumal rentals.

We had a blast at Seven Seas. The staff is friendly and super helpful. The grounds are spectacular and right on the beach. My complaints are the low quality kitchen implements, cheap sheets, and the walls in our bathroom were dirty. Everywhere else was spotless. I would go again to this beautiful property.

The condo unit itself is in need of some updates/refresh. For example, tiles were falling off in the master bath. Some stains on furniture. That being said, the grounds (pool, beach, common areas) were very well maintained. The housekeeper also did a fantastic job keeping the condo clean. This note is more for the owner to invest in their unit.

Very convenient and spacious apartment on ground floor, right in front of the swimming pool and couple of steps from sandy beach and rocky sea. The Sargasso arrived already mid April this year and, although a few steps further into the water and the snorkeling is great. Apartment is great for a family with two bathrooms, children sleeping room and big master bedroom. There are two places to sit outside. Kitchen well equipt. On the whole: very nice experience and might come back!

We have stayed in #3 many times and never stay long enough. Miguel is always so welcoming and helpful. The condo is well maintained and the staff is awesome! My only recommendation would be to put a new mattress pad on the king bed.
We ate at several restaurants, and our favorite was Taco Maya in the Pueblo.
You can’t go wrong with Seven Seas.
Too bad that the sargassum has become so invasive, but the efforts to keep the beach clean are commendable...the crews work so hard every day!

This is a great place to stay. More private than Half Moon Bay, and you definitely need a car, but you should have one to see the area anyway. The water pressure and reliabilty is definitely spotty, and could be an issue if you were unfortunate enough to stay during a particularly bad period, and don't have patience for those problems.

Seven Seas Condo Unit 3... Nice layout of the condo with bedrooms on each side of the condo separated by the living room area. Sliding glass doors in each room leading to two nice patios with great views of the ocean. The lack of water pressure in the showers is probably the only down fall of this condo. We had a very nice time and would recommend this property.

This was amazing! We enjoyed the refreshing pool and we found incredible sea life outside our door in the ocean. The manager was so wonderful and cooked us a delicious Mexican meal. The condo had beautiful views of the ocean and beach.

My wife and I stayed here for most of our honeymoon vacation (we stayed in Puerto Morelos for 2 nights). South Akumal is located away from busier downtown Akumal but is still close enough to scoot up the road for a quick meal. During our visit in 10/2008 we were one of 2 or 3 couples in the entire complex. This particular unit #3 is in a great ground floor location right on the corner of the building with good beach views and access, and RIGHT next to the pool. We enjoyed great snorkeling right off the beach and there were more than enough sea kayaks to choose from when we felt the urge. I suggest renting snorkel gear and keeping it with you for the duration of your stay, there are so many opportunities to get out in the water or lagoons or ceynotes; you don't want to miss out! Miguel the property manager was on site probably 80% of the time. He was very helpful and even cooked dinner for us on our last night - it was a fantastic meal! If you stay here you will need a rental car. It only takes about 3 minutes to drive to the actual city of Akumal (you're not far) but you don't want to walk along busy HWY 307. The unit itself was nicely equipped with a large kitchen and more than enough space for the 2 of us. The unit comfortably sleeps 4. If we venture to Akumal again I would seriously consider staying here again. The only downside being the fact you have to drive everywhere, but then again you are in a much quieter spot. Thanks to Leslie at Akumal Direct for helping us find this great spot!

Can't beat the location- nice and quiet. The beach in downtown Akumal is better, but there is almost no one on this beach. It has lots of rocks. NO night life/restarurants on the private/gated block of stunning homes. Need a car to go into Akumal
for excellent massages from Juan at Buddah gardens. Great for the elderly- not the young
party/club type

Dear Marcia and Folks, Yes, we were very very happy with Seven Seas and Unit #3. It was much larger than we thought from the photos. It was very luxurious and since our rates were the highest for the holidays, we still felt we had great value for the money. Miguel was very helpful and made snacks for us twice. Emiliano was terrific, and Mareya, the house cleaner was fast and thorough. Some people came to our door from White Health Spa. We ordered massages from them and were very pleased. Galeria Lamanai in Akumal deserves a description in your notes. What a spectacular collection of Mexican crafts. Very high quality. Easy Way Car Rental was a bit of a shock. Their site is strange and there were only maybe 8 cars. Our car was great, no problems. But when we returned, my credit card showed an additional $1000 charge on our arrival date, even though we'd already paid before we arrived. So far they haven't disputed the credit. Also, when we arrived to return the car no one was there for 10 minutes or so and no answer on the phone. Made us a bit anxious since we had to catch a flight. When the man arrived, he didn't say anything to us, just got in the car and drove to the airport. Don't think I'd use them again. But we would definitely come back to Unit #3. It was the vacation of a lifetime. We toured Tulum and Chichen Itza, went to the Biosphere, snorkeled at Hidden Worlds. So really got around. By far the best meals there were at La Lunita in north Akumal and Ultima Maya in Akumal Pueblo. Thanks for all your help, Marcia.
