Three female friends from high school met for Spring Break and to celebrate the first if our three 62nd birthdays. It was easy to walk both north and south to explore the nearby areas, access the beach, lagoon, shopping and restaurants. On-site security and maintenance kept us feeling safe and well taken care of.

This was our second stay at Casa Nicte Ha this year. We spent our Christmas holiday and it was awesome as usual. A big gracias to the special staff: Mari, Jose and Santos. We had chef Carlos come in one evening to prepare bbq ribs for dinner and WOW. Angel was great to communicate with We’d love to return!

This is an amazing house with a beautiful pool and views of the water from three balconies and a tower with a 360 degree view. Saw Agouti’s and Iguanas in addition to sunrises and sunset. Air conditioning for night and all open doors and windows for daily sea breeze. Mari keeps the house spotless and Jose the grounds keeper even polished our car windows! He cut open fresh coconut for us as well!! Awesome restaurants within walking distance along the cute brick road.

We had an amazing time! The house is well stocked, walkable to everything and phenomenal having the pool on the ocean side of the home. The privacy we had will make us return to this home everytime we come back to Akumal. Having the daily cleaning service and the groundskeeper on site made it feel like your own resort.

We had a fantastic stay at Nicte Ha last week. We had two families: 4 adults and 3 teenagers, and had plenty of room to have our much needed space. The house was super comfortable and just like the description and photos show. Impeccably clean, with everything that you might need. Maria, Jose and Santos (overnight security) were wonderful; Santos is Jose's brother, and a wealth of information on the area. The location of the house is super convenient for walking around Akumal (5 minute walk to beaches, dive shop, turtles, great restaurants & souvenir shops) and a short drive in either direction to Playa del Carmen or Tulum. Nearby natural lagoon Yal-ku had fantastic snorkeling, also within walking distance. We had the best ceviche we've ever had at a local taqueria in town, across Route 307 (the non-touristy part of town), called "Chucky's". The place is always busy with locals, who take out buckets of fresh ceviche every day. Their tacos were really good as well, especially the carnitas. The guacamole at LolHa in Akumal Bay beach was also really good; also at LolHa we had the absolute best drink we had all week: fresh pineapple daiquiri. We will need to try it at home. Finally, we loved the ambiance at La Buena Vida in Half Moon bay (also within a 5 minute walk), and their whole fried fish was excellent.

The only minor suggestion we'd have is to add some blinds or dark curtain options to the upstairs bedrooms, as in the early summer days, the sun comes in through the shite curtains and wakes you up at 7am (besides making those rooms quite hot, and needing heavier use of the AC). The view is absolutely stunning, but adding some blinds or dark shades to the windows might help keep them cooler and darker in the early morning.

Loved the house. Perfect for 6 of us. Each bedroom had its own bathroom.Nice to have daily maid service as there is no dishwasher. Lots or privacy because houses next to us were vacant. The pool was lovely but a bit cold.Gorgeous views!

We have rented many homes throughout our travels and this one has the best pool ever! It is beautiful and so well cared for.

The kitchen was a little small, but still functional and everything worked just fine.

We love leaving the windows/doors open and listening to the waves, especially at night. The screens did a great job of keeping moisture out of the house.

Only thing that would be helpful is to add something to the patio outside the dining room door to make that tile less slick. It gets very slippery when it is damp (which is most of the time from the ocean spray). We were careful and had no issues.

We would 100% rent this home again if we returned to the Akumal area.

We had an amazing time! Marisol was our housekeeper and she did a fantastic job. The house was clean, comfy and very welcoming. The landscape was gorgeous. On our first day there the property manager stopped by to introduce himself. One evening we left some shoes and towels outside and security brought them to our door that same night. They were very friendly and helpful.

Wonderful house, very spacious and comfortable, ocean view, 24 hour security, supermarkets around. Nearby beach to snorkel, we can see turtles, stingrays, coral, I would love to go again, just notice that in this summer season there is a lot of sargassum in almost all of Cancun

We had a wonderful time at this house. Our kids loved the pool. The hammocks were great. Ocean view was awesome. Quick walk to restaurants. We had a blast.

The cute small town of Akumal is amazing and I will definitely be back! AND the LogoGringo experience from booking to the staff was also so amazing! Then Nicte-Ha, wow, it was perfect and so comfortable. Great location and very private!

We just returned from a wonderful, relaxing stay at Villa Nicte Ha and it was all that we expected and more! Home was well kept, and staff was great! TV had Netflix for evenings at home. Kitchen was small, but it had everything we needed - the rest of the house was laid out so that there were great, large community spaces, as well as private spaces for reading, etc. This large house is well spaced for everyone's privacy if they want it. We would definitely consider another stay here!

this was my fifth stay at nicte ha in akumal. it gets better every year. can't wait to come next year. I go to sleep at night thinking of the surf pounding on the shore and the moon lighting a path along the ocean.

we had a wonderful honeymoon in akumal. It was a nice central location for exploring the yucatan peninsula. We'll be back soon.

I've been to Akumal many times, but this was my first stay at Nicta-Ha. My family came from all over the US and we rented both Nicta-Ha and Casa Del Mar - it was a perfect arrangement. We were close, yet separate. The location is walking distance to town/beaches/restaurants so everyone could get around and we didn't need multiple cars. The villa was large and gave us together space and alone space. It was nicely furnished and well cared for. I liked the backyard with the gorgeous pool overlooking the rocky coast and Ocean - made for quiet sunbathing and interesting excursions over the rocks.

Staff was excellent, hard working, accomodating and the delicious Yucatan meal prepared by the cook was wonderful. Our bedroom air-conditioner was not functioning and the crew was in before the end of the day with a new one. The property owner, provided quick responses to any of our e-mail questions while on the trip (bringing a laptop is the best way to communicate with the wireless connection available on site). Loved snorkeling in Akumal Bay, Yal-Ku Lagoon, Muyil Adventure tour with Pastor through Sian Ka'an Community Tours, Aktun Chen Cave, Tulum Ruins, town and beach, evening shopping and dinner at Yaxche in Playa del Carmen. Enjoyed the short 8-minute walk to Akumal or Half Moon Bay. Turtle Bay Cafe in Akumal was consistently delicious for every meal. The property is archtecturally unusual and was designed by someone the I.M. Pei school to maximize light and air while preserving privacy. The pool and deck are large and right on the ocean offering a unique setting. The property is kept in excellent condition through daily maid service and the efforts of the property groundskeeper. Mari, the housekeeper, made us an excellent dinner on our last night in Akumal. The property is a short drive or walk from central Akumal where we enjoyed snorkelling in the Bay (giant sea turtles, large spotted stingray, several smaller stingrays, boxfish, an enormous barracuda, some coral mounts and numerous reef fish just a few feet off the beach) as well as casual meals at Turtle Bay (highly recommended for breakfast, lunch or dinner). Just down the road is the Yal Kul lagoon. Snorkelling there feels like snorkelling in a giant aquarium full of colorful reef fish. Not far from Akumal are other interesting beaches (Tankah and Tulum), the Mayan ruins at Tulum and Coba, a number of interesting cenotes, and the fascinating Sian Kaan Biosphere Park. Highly recommended.
