We spent one week at Seven Seas and loved every minute! The security was incredible, gated area with Miguel on site to help with everything. Our condo was clean, spacious & very comfortable. We had both housekeeping & groundkeeper every day, they were very professional & helpful! I would highly recommend Seven Seas!

We have visited Yucatan mexico many times since the 80's and have always liked Akumal especially now when most of this province has been turned into HUGE resorts. This had been the nicest vacation rental we have stayed in. Largest 2BR 2 bath by far. Lovely furnishings and decor and just steps from pool and beach. Very quiet and peaceful yet just a short drive from great restaurants in Akumal Nord. Staff very friendly and helpful. Two thumbs up!

Visited the newly opened Tulum Airport. Looks awesome and will be a welcome alternative for visiting this area.

Perfect! My mom and dad came to Akumal for first time. My wife and I have enjoyed it for (15) years. Dad has trouble with knees so this place was absolutely ideal. No steps. Ocean front. And pool side. It was beautifullly decorated in a Mexican traditional style. (They loved it!!!! You’ll need transportation to get anywhere but the service was stellar. Miguel lived up to the reputation from previous reviews. Thank you for allowing Us to share this magnificent place. Another feather for Akumal rentals.

The pool, ocean and kayak were always available. The people working there were very friendly and were there everyday but Sunday. Unlimited snorkling at the reef just of the beach.

We have stayed in #3 many times and never stay long enough. Miguel is always so welcoming and helpful. The condo is well maintained and the staff is awesome! My only recommendation would be to put a new mattress pad on the king bed.
We ate at several restaurants, and our favorite was Taco Maya in the Pueblo.
You can’t go wrong with Seven Seas.
Too bad that the sargassum has become so invasive, but the efforts to keep the beach clean are commendable...the crews work so hard every day!

Very convenient and spacious apartment on ground floor, right in front of the swimming pool and couple of steps from sandy beach and rocky sea. The Sargasso arrived already mid April this year and, although a few steps further into the water and the snorkeling is great. Apartment is great for a family with two bathrooms, children sleeping room and big master bedroom. There are two places to sit outside. Kitchen well equipt. On the whole: very nice experience and might come back!

The condo unit itself is in need of some updates/refresh. For example, tiles were falling off in the master bath. Some stains on furniture. That being said, the grounds (pool, beach, common areas) were very well maintained. The housekeeper also did a fantastic job keeping the condo clean. This note is more for the owner to invest in their unit.

We had a blast at Seven Seas. The staff is friendly and super helpful. The grounds are spectacular and right on the beach. My complaints are the low quality kitchen implements, cheap sheets, and the walls in our bathroom were dirty. Everywhere else was spotless. I would go again to this beautiful property.

Dear Marcia and Folks, Yes, we were very very happy with Seven Seas and Unit #3. It was much larger than we thought from the photos. It was very luxurious and since our rates were the highest for the holidays, we still felt we had great value for the money. Miguel was very helpful and made snacks for us twice. Emiliano was terrific, and Mareya, the house cleaner was fast and thorough. Some people came to our door from White Health Spa. We ordered massages from them and were very pleased. Galeria Lamanai in Akumal deserves a description in your notes. What a spectacular collection of Mexican crafts. Very high quality. Easy Way Car Rental was a bit of a shock. Their site is strange and there were only maybe 8 cars. Our car was great, no problems. But when we returned, my credit card showed an additional $1000 charge on our arrival date, even though we'd already paid before we arrived. So far they haven't disputed the credit. Also, when we arrived to return the car no one was there for 10 minutes or so and no answer on the phone. Made us a bit anxious since we had to catch a flight. When the man arrived, he didn't say anything to us, just got in the car and drove to the airport. Don't think I'd use them again. But we would definitely come back to Unit #3. It was the vacation of a lifetime. We toured Tulum and Chichen Itza, went to the Biosphere, snorkeled at Hidden Worlds. So really got around. By far the best meals there were at La Lunita in north Akumal and Ultima Maya in Akumal Pueblo. Thanks for all your help, Marcia.

South Akumal is located away from busier downtown Akumal but is still close enough to scoot up the road for a quick meal. During our visit in 10/2008 we were one of 2 or 3 couples in the entire complex. This particular unit #3 is in a great ground floor location right on the corner of the building with good beach views and access, and RIGHT next to the pool. We enjoyed great snorkeling right off the beach and there were more than enough sea kayaks to choose from when we felt the urge. I suggest renting snorkel gear and keeping it with you for the duration of your stay, there are so many opportunities to get out in the water or lagoons or ceynotes; you don't want to miss out! Miguel the property manager was on site probably 80% of the time. He was very helpful and even cooked dinner for us on our last night - it was a fantastic meal! If you stay here you will need a rental car. It only takes about 3 minutes to drive to the actual city of Akumal (you're not far) but you don't want to walk along busy HWY 307. The unit itself was nicely equipped with a large kitchen and more than enough space for the 2 of us. The unit comfortably sleeps 4. If we venture to Akumal again I would seriously consider staying here again. The only downside being the fact you have to drive everywhere, but then again you are in a much quieter spot. Seven Seas Condo Unit 3... Nice layout of the condo with bedrooms on each side of the condo separated by the living room area. Sliding glass doors in each room leading to two nice patios with great views of the ocean. The lack of water pressure in the showers is probably the only down fall of this condo. We had a very nice time and would recommend this property.

This is a great place to stay. More private than Half Moon Bay, and you definitely need a car, but you should have one to see the area anyway. The water pressure and reliabilty is definitely spotty, and could be an issue if you were unfortunate enough to stay during a particularly bad period, and don't have patience for those problems.
