Family-Friendly Beach Clubs To Visit This Holiday Season
Known for its low-key Caribbean charm, Akumal is a small sleepy town in Riviera Maya mostly visited for its resident sea turtles. That said, Akumal does have several beachfront venues that are great hangouts for adults and families wanting to spend a day by the sea enjoying good food, music, drinks, and even splash around by the poolside.
How Are Akumal Beach Clubs Different From Others In Riviera Maya?
Unlike Playa del Carmen and Tulum's high-density beachfront venues with daytime concerts that extend into the late hours of the night or even early next morning Akumal's beach clubs are family-friendly and pretty much call it a day by 11 PM at the latest.
Akumal Bay
On Akumal Bay, guests can visit Club Akumal Caribe's Beachclub for full access to Lol Ha Beachfront Restaurant and Bar, rent lounge chairs, palapas, and lockers. Day passes can also be purchased to include the use of the beachfront swimming pool.
Half Moon Bay
La Buena Vida family restaurant is Akumal's most popular "non club" beachclub. Known for its rope swing bar this beachfront restaurant is open for everyone. Patrons are welcome to use their swimming pool and hang out by the beach on the loungers and hammocks.
Jade Bay
Akumal's newest beach club is located on Jade Bay right in between Akumal Bay and South Akumal. Admission is free for patrons, featuring beachfront loungers, an infinity swimming pool, and a rooftop deck this is a great spot to enjoy a great meal with tropical drinks and even some dancing.
