No More Filling Out Forms On The Plane!
Travelers visiting Riviera Maya will be glad to know that they can enjoy their flights from take-off to when they arrive at Cancun International Airport. As of June Mexico will no longer require flight crew to distribute paper immigration forms that were to be completed and stamped upon arrival.
Mexican Immigration Has Gone Digital
Tourist Card (FMME) Is Still Required To Enter Mexico
It is necessary for all international visitors to Mexico to identify themselves with an official document known as a tourist card. This is why all flight passengers that are not Mexican citizens must fill out the Immigration Entry Form (FMM) before they arrive in Mexico. Mexican Customs has made the immigration process easier for travelers by providing an Immigration Form that can fill it out online.
Get Your Tourist Card Online Here
The online registration is very simple, all you need is your passport, flight information, name of the hotel where you are staying, or address. When you finish, you will need to print the Official Entry Tourist Card. IMPORTANT the tourist card is per person including minors.
Most airlines will no longer provide immigration forms onboard the planes, therefore we recommend filling out the form in advance to avoid any delay in the immigration process upon arrival in Mexico.
